New Revelations in Wisconsin Killings; Shooter Showed Up in Fla. Terror Probe

I was on CNN Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss new developments in the Wade Page investigation.












Page was a member of the Hammerskins skinhead group. He traveled around the country playing white power music as founder of the band End Apathy and a member of Definite Hate. In March 2011, those bands played to a crowd in central Florida that included a law enforcement source working for the Orange County sheriff's department. The informant recorded the band's presence in a heavily redacted document.

Two FBI undercover agents and an Orange County Sheriff undercover agent were also involved in the investigation and may have been present at the event.

The source had been investigating a skinhead group called the American Front, which culminated in 13 arrests in May 2012 on charges mostly related to paramilitary operations in support of the group's dream of a race war. The informant was attempting to penetrate the Hammerskins as well, and frequented an Internet forum also used by Page, according to redacted court documents.

The Hammerskins and American Front had a close relationship, and Page posted on an in memoriam page to American Front's founder, David Lynch, who was murdered in March 2011, just days before Page's band played in central Florida. Lynch's slaying was a topic of conversation at the event, according to the informant's report.
